We have the potential to grow through our relationships, but often find ourselves frustrated and suffering. My approach to therapy can help you discover how your unique experiences have influenced the way you relate to yourself, others, and your experience of life. Together we can discover your existing barriers to connection with your true self and the true selves of others. I help individuals and couples increase their compassion and open to what is possible, clearing the way to find new solutions to old problems.
I work with individuals on a wide variety of goals and concerns, with emphasis on areas such as:
Anxiety
Identity — Who am I, and who do I want to be?
Personal Growth
Doing the personal work to be a more supported and empathetic partner or parent
Struggles with emotion regulation
Identifying and addressing barriers to finding and maintaining a healthy relationship
Life changes
Stress management
Undesirable or self-defeating patterns and habits
Attachment issues
Perfectionism
Pregnancy and transition to parenthood
Although couples therapy can sometimes hold a stigma or be associated with a relationship that is ending, I am encouraged by the increasing number of couples who are seeking therapy to enhance and strengthen their relationship. Couples choose to work with me for many reasons, but my approach particularly aligns with couples who have concerns related to:
Failing to connect with and/or understand your partner
Navigating differing values, personalities and habits
Two-career households
Co-habitating
Work/life balance
Thinking about and/or making a long-term commitment
Life transitions such as the addition of a new child
Loss of trust
Strengthening the bond in order to thrive
